The robbery was to be committed using a white Mazda bakkie single cub Reg no KFF880MP was spotted matching the same description loaded plus or minus 08Males at the back driving along R40 road towards Dwaarslop.

Tracking Team members approached the bakkie with blue and siren on, trying to stop them, the suspects spend off towards Dwaarslop direction and started shooting, and the police retaliated, the bakkie lost control and bumped a tree next to the road. Some of the suspects managed to jump out from the back of the bakkie and ran away on foot.

During the arrest it was discovered that one of the suspects at the back of the bakkie was fatally wounded and one with a leg fracture. Two rifles were recovered at the back of the bakkie R1 rifle with full magazine and R5 rifle with full magazine, one revolver was recovered inside the bakkie on the front seat. The injured once were transported to Masana Hospital.

Suspects expected to appear in court soon, police investigation still continue.
