Social Work now offered at the University of Mpumalanga

The University of Mpumalanga (UMP) is proud to introduce a new undergraduate course that everyone has been asking for, which is Bachelor of Social Work. This course will bring a lot of positive impact amoungst students as they have shown lots of attention towards it before it was even introduced at UMP.
For the past few years the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) has been rapidly adding new courses one after another showing a humangous growth. UMP being the most University with a lot population of students, this makes it to be popular in the eyes of Mpumalanga residents.
The description of the programme is as followed: The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a four-year professional degree offered on a full-time basis. The programme focuses on sociology, psychology and social work modules in the first, second and third year of study. In the fourth year, students are exposed to the practical and professional components of the degree.
The admission requirements are: Grade 12 Bachelor university entrance with a minimum APS of 32 or above or equivalent. English level 4; Maths level 2 / Maths literacy level 3
As you planning on enrol for the course, it will open opportunirties for you in there carrers: The Bachelor of Social Work degree prepares students to work as professional social workers registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP). Graduates may choose to work in the public service as social workers, or the private sector, in the human resources division. They may work as employee assistance programme officers. Social workers may be employed in the corporate world to improve employee welfare and benefits. In non-governmental organisations, social workers design, implement, monitor, and evaluate intervention programmes.
